Objectives of the project:“The employment rate of migrants is lower for all age groups compared to the native population”. “Etelä-Savo has received a migration gain of some 2 400 people in 2000-2011”. (Source: What can be learnt in South Savo from immigration strategies and programmes in other regions? Timo Aro and Anna Laiho 7.3.2013). The aim of the project is to find out the previous formal and informative skills of immigrant women and men and to identify and meet the needs of companies operating in South Savo for the skills found or the use of different skills. Knowledge that would add value to business in national and international markets and/or enable the transformation of skills into small businesses with a migrant background. The aim of the project is therefore also to create new jobs in the South Savo region. The project will increase information and speed up the utilisation of immigrants‘skills as early as possible, increasing the possibility to take more precise measures based on proactive information in the future. The data collection model created during the initial phase of the project toimenpiteet:Hankkeen provides information on the individual skills profile of immigrants, which is compared to the information collected from companies regarding the companies’ current skills needs and also the need for future skills. Based on this information, the most personalised training pathways that are best matched by OTHER/ADD 1/2018 are created: work needs (including card training). AMENDMENT/APPENDIX 1/2018: Through the mapping of the company’s situation, they are given the opportunity to make use of the existing skills of the immigrant, as well as through targeted training to produce enterprise-centred skills, to create an opportunity for the immigrant to enter the world of work and to provide the company with the right skills to meet the company’s needs. AMENDMENT/APPENDIX 1/2018: We provide the company with translation and interpreting services to support the work experiment or the like through the project. Based on the knowledge of skills, the establishment of immigrant enterprises can also be supported, e.g. in the form of cooperatives or traditional business activities. If the project is aimed at immigrant women, the position of migrant women can also be promoted through educational interventions, work experiments with previous skills and familiarisation with Finnish working life. The project also highlights possible gender differences and supports the planning of the necessary interventions to increase equality and equality. The information collected during the project will provide better knowledge of immigrants’ skills to support long-term regional development. AMENDMENT/APPENDIX 1/2018: The client of the project increases his/her competence profile through skills mapping, training and work experiments, and records it in the electronic system of his choice (LinkedIn, CV-net, Monster). Knowledge is now visible, can be sought by employers and independent of the project’s status.Information received early in the project tulokset:Mahdollisimman about the skills of immigrants arriving in Finland and the need for enterprises to make use of these skills will speed up the integration of immigrants into the labour market today. On the basis of the identified know-how, the creation of conditions for small business activities can also be supported. The information obtained from the project will increase the possibility of creating measures based on anticipation in the future. The project will increase new forms of cooperation between educational institutions and business, based on better identification of business needs and the creation of individual training paths from a business perspective. The project client will be part of the training and employment networks. Own competence in relation to the Finnish level of requirements becomes clearer. The information obtained during the mapping process is preserved and the personal, electronic knowledge folder created from it follows the immigrant, so that it does not need to be recreated, but supplemented as skills grow. The inclusion and potential of migrant women and their entry into the labour market have been clarified and supported by educational interventions. The project will increase the equal way of thinking about using knowledge, regardless of gender.
