The project is a citizen-oriented development in line with the City of Mikkeli’s strategy. The main objective is to involve urban residents in generating well-being in cooperation between different actors. The project is based on networking and experimental culture. In the preparation of the project, the challenges of inclusion and immobility were considered throughout the human life cycle. The network workshops highlighted the challenges of loneliness and exclusion, the culture of acting alone, the challenges facing families, the autonomy of work and the lack of cooperation. The project involves urban residents to produce ideas and find new solutions for the production of services, the organisation of events and the start-up and development of operations. Solutions to the main challenges are sought in the networks that have emerged (currently around 300 people are involved). The following cross-administrative groups of different age groups or themes are included: early childhood education and care, primary schoolchildren, young people, people of working age, jobs, older people, immigrants, families, special groups, digital groups, unemployed and sports clubs. The aim of the project is to increase:1. Inclusion and the opportunity for everyone to realise their own dreams2. Movement and joy and well-being through it3. Cooperation and a sense of community through it4. The target group of the project is third-sector operators and indirectly all residents of the city of Mikkeli. The project measures target the metropolitan area. The target group includes in particular marginalised people, those at risk of social exclusion, young people, the unemployed, special groups, migrants and low mobility. The project measures consist of development actions, experiments and events in transfer projects. As a result of the project, the co-operation will be intensified and the networks created will continue to operate after the end of the project. The association’s activities will be boosted by cooperation and support for the project. The cultures of experimentation are strengthened as the way the associations and the city operate. The target group’s ability to work and the possibility of employment will be improved with inclusion, co-operation and new operating models and habits.
