The use of knowledge is an increasingly important competitive factor for the tourism industry. The aim of the Ruka-Kuusamo project, led by information, is to add value to tourism companies in the region by developing joint management, acquisition, management and anticipation of the tourist area. In order to guide development work, the project creates operating models for documentation, measurement and monitoring. At the end of the project, the companies in the region will have a common dashboard to produce and share data for the benefit of all. Knowledge utilisation in the area will increase, and the planning of operations in response to changes in demand will be made possible. The implementation period is 1.9.2021-31.8.2022 and the total cost estimate is EUR 174.320.
