The operation is part of the ViaRhôna Bicycle Road project, which is part of the national scheme of bike-roads and green roads as a bicycle of national interest (V60) and European (EV17). The objectives of the operation are to commission 12.7 kilometres of the ViaRhôna route comprising: —La S2V1 (4.7 km): from the section on Lapalud (passage of the RN86) to the bridge on the Donzère Mondragon Canal: —S5V1 (6.1 km) and S6V1 (1.9 km): section on a green road on the municipalities of Piolenc and Caderousse, allowing inter alia the crossing of the Aigues.;
