Restoration of ecological continuity at the Moulin de la ville — Saint Pourcain sur Sioule

The SARL Le Moulin operates the hydroelectric plant at the threshold of the mill of the Ville sur la Sioule, in the city centre of Saint-Pourçain-sur-Sioule. The objective of the operation is to improve the ecological continuity on the Sioule River disturbed by the presence of the hydroelectric micro-power plant at the mill de la Ville. As it stands, the structure strongly disrupts fish and sedimentary continuity on the Sioule River. The structure inhibits the passage of sediments and the passage of migratory fish. This book is listed on the list of 13 priority works of the 2014-2019 Loire Basin Migratory Fish Management Plan (PLAGEPOMI 2014-2019). The work is intended to improve the long-term and long-term migration of amphihalin migratory fish in the run-up and downhill phase. The migratory species concerned are Atlantic salmon, lamprey and eel. This operation is submitted under Action 12 of the ERDF Loire POI.
