The municipality of Kani Kéli, as well as other communities in the department, is constantly expanding with the creation of new neighbourhoods where residents who often lack public lighting reside, a break in the public lighting service, which creates many constraints in terms of security and night traffic, as is the case in the Bimanga district in the village of Kani Kéli. The absence of an EDM electricity grid in some neighbourhoods of the municipality or part of streets does not allow for the extension of the public lighting system when the need has been diagnosed and expressed several times by the administrators. A finding to be linked to the issue of safety, hence the project for the installation of solar LED lighting systems in the neighbourhoods.
