The interconnection project is part of the programme launched by SIEAM and the State water security services in order to anticipate and prevent the risk of water shortages in all the urban areas of the island. This security requires, in particular, the need to create an interconnection between the two collinear restraints and the UPEP of Ouroven and Dzoumogne in order to temporarily compensate for any malfunctions of one or the other restraint. This connection will give the possibility to transfer raw water collected from the colineal retains to the Urovenian plant or the Bouyouni plant). This raw water transfer will make it possible to compensate for any water shortage or point pollution of one of the two colineal reservoirs, major sites for the island’s overall PEA feeding system.
