Successfully studying at the University of Nantes

The University of Nantes carries the project “Successing your studies at the University of Nantes” over 3 school years from September 1, 2018 to allow students to successfully complete the Bachelor’s degree in which they are enrolled and accompany those who wish to do so towards a chosen reorientation. The project targets students in the 1st year of Bachelor’s degree who are least equipped to succeed in university graduate studies: scholarship students or holders of professional or technological bachelor’s degrees. The University of Nantes aims to support 1,000 students during the three years of the project. At the end of the project, it is expected to increase the success rates from the 1st year of licence to the second year of licence: 42 % to 60 % for scholarship students and 11 % to 40 % for students with professional or technological bachelor’s degrees. A project team of 5 people, assigned for all their working time to the project, is recruited specifically for this project. The University also mobilises the following human resources: tutors in university methodology, teachers in disciplinary strengthening and upgrading of French, the support of the university information and guidance service (SUIO).
