The RFI Atlanstic 2020 project (with reference to Information and Communication Science and Technology — STIC) is carried out by the University of Nantes. It is an integrated and collective approach based on synergies Research, Training, Innovation involving the various players in the digital sciences: for the research component, the laboratories of the federation, for the training component, the computer sectors of Nantes, Angers and Le Mans and, for the innovation component, the three competitiveness clusters Images et Réseau, EMC2 and Atlanpole Biotherapies. The ambition of the RFI Atlanstic 2020 is to become at the end of the eight years of the project, a European centre of excellence in computing and cybernetics in support of the development of digital in Pays de la Loire. The project is structured around five areas of innovation to create synergies between academic knowledge and the development of new markets and uses: industry of the future, connected objects, green IT (or responsible digital), software science and robotics. ERDF support from 01/01/2015-31/12/2022 will provide funding for the support team (1 post of Director, 1 post ‘educational engineering’), international mobility grants, post-doctoral posts and postdoctoral posts under an international call for projects, and 2 to 3 international chairs, in line with the RFI’s international development strategy.
