Research Allowance 2016: partnership University of Lille 1 STMicroelectronics — energy efficiency of high-speed wireless communication systems

The subject of the thesis is to propose innovative solutions for low-consumption wireless communication systems. The techniques that will be explored should reduce energy consumption in CMOS (Complementary Metal Oxyde Semiconductor) technologies, which is an integrated component manufacturing technology, for example for the benefit of instant download solutions for a large volume of data. The proposed project is part of the Internet of Things theme with a strong focus on reducing the consumption of integrated communication systems. STMicroelectronics is leading the way in the manufacture of semiconductors using advanced CMOS technologies, which justifies its involvement in the project.
