The development project concerns the construction of a multipurpose recreational, cultural and sports equipment with an area of approximately 6 000 m², at the “Bagatelle” site in the area of the municipality of Gros-Morne. The equipment to be carried out is part of a housing estate located in the urban continuity of the South of the Centre-Bourg area, which houses 129 social and very social rental units constituting a first phase of the construction programme to be carried out. It includes the following facilities, which are connected by a walking trail of more than 700 m: — a playground for young children from 2 to 6 years old, — a play area for children aged 3 to 12 years, — 2 petanque tracks, — a health path, coupled with an educational course highlighting the endemic plant species that will be planted there — 6 family gardens. This equipment is intended not only for residents of SEMSAMAR’s housing buildings, but also for all neighbouring populations in order to ensure a better life together through intergenerational exchanges and better social cohesion in this meeting area, also allowing the organisation of events through tenant and sports associations.
