As part of its overall policy project, the city of Robert decided to create a “type 3 rd place” media library (dedicated to the social life of the community relating to spaces where individuals can meet, meet and exchange informally) and thus develop both physical and digital services, adapted to the needs of diverse audiences and in bridges with Robert’s territorial realities. Around this cultural place, the aim is to enshrine the population in a cultural and educational practice, to democratise and popularise the use of digital technology while creating a social link between all the components of the population. The project is calibrated to radiate on a basin of 25,000 inhabitants as part of the public reading network “NordMédiatek 972” of Cap Nord. With a surface area of 1 476 m², the work will have 8 functional units that will allow the implementation of the animation programme helping to build social ties and strengthen intergenerational solidarity on a daily basis.
