CONSTRUCTION OF THE LUGERE BIOGAS PLANT

The company VOL-V BIOMASSE, which specialises in the design and operation of power plants from biomass, wishes to establish, in the municipality of Marigny, the Usages (45) a methanisation unit for the recovery of organic matter with biogas treatment and biomethane injection into the distribution network of GRDF. The plant will be operated by the company “Centrale Biogaz de Lugère (CBLUG)”, created specifically for this project and subsidiary of VOL-V BIOMASSE. This facility will be located on a plot of approximately 25.000 m². The criteria for the choice of implantation are linked to the proximity of organic matter sources as well as the ability to spread digestates. The plant would process 25,680 tonnes of organic matter per year, or 70.4 tonnes per day. The source, coming from the department of Loiret, consists of: materials from agri-food industries, livestock manure (manure, slurry), plant waste and other plant materials, sludge and grease (excluding sludge from urban sewage plants and non-collective sanitation). By-products will be applied to farms through a well-established application plan. Biogas will be injected into the GRDF network. This process makes it possible, at local level, to produce renewable energy and to recover organic waste in agriculture.
