The municipality of BILLY, wishing to control its energy expenditure, maintain local dynamism and reduce its GHG emissions, has decided to commit, with the support of SDE03, to a wood-energy orientation. That is why the municipality of Billy wanted to take advantage of the need to replace its heat production system to convert its fuel heating systems into wood pellet heating. SDE03, therefore, acts for the municipality of Billy as the contracting authority responsible for the investment, site monitoring and operation of the wood boiler factory. The project allows the replacement of two boilers in the basement of the school that heat the school, the canteen and the library with an already existing network and a boiler for the town hall. The boilers are old, energy-intensive and a boiler in the school cellar is already broken down. The possibility of replacing all oil boilers with a single wood boiler is interesting because the school’s cellar space allows it. Of course, upgrades to standards will be carried out accordingly.
