Territorial methanisation project. The collective unit of Besse-Saint-Anastaise will collect and recover agricultural effluents from farms in the territory. The biogas produced will be converted into electricity by cogeneration. The heat produced will ensure hygienic treatment of the digestate in order to improve the quality of the materials applied. The plant will have a processing capacity of 19,000 tonnes of material for an installed capacity of 499 kW. This project will reduce the environmental pressure of agricultural effluents on a fragile sector while at the same time improving the economy of the engaged mountain farms.
