IMOTHEP

The project consists of developing a new process for the treatment of bone allografts (human rootstocks) and creating a unique tissue engineering platform in France. The project brings together an industrial partner (Osteo-Bank: project leader), the CHRU of Clermont-Ferrand and two academic actors (SIGMA) and the Université Clermont Auvergne (the ICCF laboratory (former Blaise Pascal University) and the C-Biosenss laboratory (former Auvergne University)) The two academic research laboratories have merged with the creation of a team “Matériaux pour la Santé” (MPS). Bringing basic and clinical research together is the only real way of progress in developing new therapeutic innovations. The aim of the project is to give Osteo-Banque a competitive advantage allowing it to position itself as a leader in France or even in Europe in this fast-growing market segment by creating jobs in the region and, above all, developing a technological platform for tissue engineering unique in France, and delivering products that are not currently available for surgeons.
