AAP CPER 2016 — AUDACE Challenge — ConnectSens — Equipment

This project consists of funding structural research equipment under the AUDACE 2016 challenge, a research project selected by the call for projects “Research 2016 — CPER 2015-2020”. The project presented by AUDACE in 2016 is titled “ConnectSens”. The proposed project is part of the field of digital technologies and the modelling of issues related to environmental ecosystems. The aim is to develop an experimental platform for collecting and pooling environmental data through an “environmental cloud”. This in-situ measurement platform is based on the use of wireless communication networks for rapid data collection and transmission to a well station, connected to the Internet, responsible for storing data in a community-accessible database. The equipment financed will enable the instrumentation of four pilot sites which have been selected for their scientific interest and the cross-cutting nature of the topics covered. The sites concerned are the sites of Lake Aydat (Puy-de-Dôme), Auzon on the river Allier (Haute-Loire), Roffin in the commune of Lachaux (Puy-de-Dôme) and Montoldre (Allier). This project has been validated by CART (Auvergne Committee for Research and Technology) and is part of the Strategic Innovation Area “Physical and Digital Traceability” of the Auvergnate Intelligent Specialisation Strategy.
