The Fonds Régional de Co-Investissement Ile-de-France, now the Region Venture Fund (PRVF), takes minority stakes in innovative start-up companies with high growth potential, with business angels brought together in associations, business angel investment companies (SIBA), crowdfunding platforms and investment funds. It is constituted in the form of a simplified joint stock company (SAS) and has as its sole shareholder the Région Ile-de-France. By mobilising private funds, it achieves a leverage effect of at least 1: for one euro mobilised by private actors, the Fonds Régional de Co-Investissement Ile-de-France mobilises EUR 1. This helps to address a market failure in accessing equity financing for companies with high growth potential in the seed phase. The PRVF will be supported by EUR 32.8 million, at parity between the Region which will make capital increases and a representative ERDF contribution to be paid per quartile. This amount of EUR 32.8 million constitutes the amount of the Programme.
