The Youth Guarantee is a programme to support socio-professional autonomy for young people under the age of 26 who are in a very precarious situation. This scheme, implemented at territorial level by local missions, aims at the integration into the labour market and the acquisition of autonomy by young people in a context marked by an unfavourable employment situation. It is based on a combination of collective and individualised support and aims to guarantee young people a first professional experience through the multiplication of periods of work or training. The scheme is targeted specifically at young NEETs in a number of YEI eligible territories. The accompaniment process is facilitated by the mobilisation of a couple of dedicated advisers, at the level of local missions, and within the framework of a defined course over a period of 12 months. Each counsellor is assigned a portfolio of about 50 NEETs to follow as much as possible. A number of positive outputs (identified and detailed below) must make it possible to realise the effects of this accompaniment.
