The aim of the project is to build the Kamnik — Mengeš — Trzin-Ljubljana cycling link with public passenger transport, thus ensuring the cycling connection of the most densely populated part of the region (municipalities of Trzin, Mengeš and Kamnik) and the largest migration centre (Ljubljana). The main purpose of the project is to ensure sustainable mobility for daily access of residents to the workplace and schooling place in the municipalities of Kamnik, Mengeš, Trzin and Ljubljana. The project ensures greater transport safety for cyclists, reduces the negative environmental impacts of motor transport, promotes sustainable mobility and the use of bicycles for everyday tasks, as an alternative to car transport.
