The main purpose of the SOPA project is to reduce excessive alcohol consumption and its negative effects on the health of the person concerned and to establish a responsible attitude towards alcohol among the stakeholders involved. By supporting the abandonment of risky and harmful alcohol consumption, we also indirectly protect individuals from potential job losses due to alcohol-related problems. However, in the case of unemployment, we are indirectly supporting individuals to exit the labour market by supporting the cessation of alcohol abuse. The proposed approach presupposes the participation of stakeholders from the health and social sectors, NGOs and other stakeholders whose areas of work or programmes address vulnerable population groups and whose objectives include reducing social inequalities and inequalities in the health of the inhabitants of Slovenia.
