13 km long section Draženci — Gruškovje will be the final part of A4 motorway, which is the only bottleneck on the entire motorway, a part of TEN — T network. By concluding it, the motorway connection with the neighbour countries and one of the key connections in the direction from NW-SE will be established. The removal of this bottleneck is crucial for elimination of congestion, which puts traffic to a standstill in a wider area from Maribor to Ptuj and paralyses the life of local inhabitants.
