These actions are considered to foster capacities to respond to the health crisis in the context of the COVID-19 outbreak. In accordance with Article 25a(7) of Regulation 2020/558 amending Regulations 1301/2013 and 1303/2013, those operations may be selected for ERDF support prior to the approval of the amended programme. This is the recruitment of reinforcement health personnel and the investments and running costs needed to address the crisis and protect citizens from the COVID-19 situation. In addition, actions have been developed that include the expenditure on health equipment essential to address the current health crisis. Among others, we cite: — Individual protective equipment (EPIs) including disposable face masks, eye protectors, protective clothing, etc. — Test to Diagnosis COVID-19 including antibody testing. — Medicinal products linked to the treatment of COVID-19.
