For the realisation of this project -CATALUÑA (II) — the technology proposed for the very high-speed access network is GPON, in a scenario of “Fibre to the Home” (FTTH). This technology aims to extend the coverage to a total of 13 population centres, specifically 7 population centres in the following municipalities in the province of Barcelona: Aiguafreda, Balenya, Centelles, Moia, Seva and Tona; 2 population centres in the following municipalities in the province of Girona: Cassa de la Selva and Celra; 4 population centres in the following municipalities of the province of Tarragona: Gandesa, Montblanc, Mora d’Ebre and Santa Coloma de Queralt.
