It is requested to acquire a 500 MHz Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Spectrometer._x000D_ Currently the RMN service of the Faculty of Chemical Sciences and Technologies-IRICA has two RMN equipment of 400 and 500 MHz that serve the groups of Organic Chemistry and Inorganic Chemistry of the Faculty as well as service to other groups of the University and companies in the region._x000D_ Both equipment is already amortised, specifically the 500 MHz team is already 14 years old. Both teams are of the VARIAN brand that was acquired by the multinational AGILENT and that two years ago decided to close its RMN department. For this reason, no equipment or parts are currently manufactured for the equipment we have installed, which makes it essential to gradually replace it in order to continue maintaining the service provided to the research groups and the external service. Although AGILENT continues to deal with repairs, they cannot ensure the replacement of parts of the 500 MHz equipment, the oldest. On the other hand, it is foreseeable that there will be a reduction in the staff of the company dedicated to maintenance or repairs, either because of the needs of the company or because they are transferred to other RMN equipment companies._x000D_ The acquisition of a new generation of NMR equipment will allow to maintain and improve the performance of the RMN service by expanding the possibilities of the research lines of the proposing groups as well as the external service.
