This proposal aims to partially recover the agricultural use of urban palm orchards that lack current use, some of which belong to the historical palm grove recognised by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site, in the form of urban orchards for leisure or school gardens. This proposal could also be extended apart from orchards which are currently entirely or partially intended for use as parks or gardens. The primary idea is to contribute to the recovery of the own use of the agricultural landscape that gave rise to palm orchards, in the current urban environment, and adapted to modern techniques of organic farming and efficient irrigation to respond to a social demand for leisure orchards, so that while the agricultural use of palm orchards is restored, an important service of environmental, social and educational nature, with important cultural and tourist implications, is provided.
