The general objective of the project is to ensure in good conditions the public education service and equal access to education for over 12,000 students enrolled in the pre-university education in Prahova county, from the RURAL environment, by equipping them with mobile equipment in the field of information technology such as school tablets connected to the Internet, equipping teachers with 651 graphic tablets, 734 laptops, 714 web cameras for online hours, namely the equipment of classrooms from 64 educational units in order to carry out the teaching process in the online environment, namely 372 all-in-one computers, 300 screen projectors, 372 interactive boards. The general objective is in accordance with the provisions, priorities and measures included in the Emergency Ordinance no. 144 of 24 August 2020 on some measures for the allocation of non-refundable external funds necessary for the prevention of teaching activities for the 2020/2021 school year in the context of the risk of infection with coronavirus SARS-CoV-2, in line with those initiated by the European Commission (Action Plan for Digital Education (2021-2027)), but also those included in the National Strategy on Early Leave Reduction of the School, the National Strategy on the Digital Agenda for Romania 2020, the National Strategy on Social Inclusion and Poverty Reduction 2015-2020, the National Strategy for the Protection and Promotion of Children’s Rights 2014-2020, by providing access to more than 12,000 students from Prahova county to the teaching process in the online environment as a result of the facilities provided to them, but also in the educational units to which they belong. They will benefit from these facilities 12.024 students and 1.460 teachers, from 64 educational units in the RURAL environment, being equipped with 926 classrooms. The project will thus generate a positive effect in the short, medium and long term for the target group, contributing to reducing the gap due to the social situation of pupils/teachers and providing conditions for the online teaching process, as well as increasing the quality of the educational act and equal access to quality education for all, reducing the impact of restrictions due to the social and economic pandemic.
