The project concerns the replacement of the water supply network of the Municipal Community of Sikionos-Kiatos and the Local Communities of Kato Dimini, Moulki and Pasiou, covering the transport needs of approximately 300-500 m³ of water per day, which are fed by the boreholes at the location “Lower Kampos” Local Community (K) Velina and “Lakkoi” PC of Ancient Sikiona. In particular, a new pipeline for the transport of drinking water will be constructed from the existing pie-breaking shaft at TK Souli, which will be heading to the new central head tank at the location “Arkouda” TK Moulki and will then be connected to the existing networks supplying the above mentioned areas. The construction of the new pipeline (distribution infrastructure), which will replace the PVC existing one by solving the problems of leaks caused by the network due to age and material, is to ensure the adequacy of drinking water. Its new route will follow the existing road construction (provincial and rural network) compared to the current one which is carried out through private crops. In addition, the project includes the construction of a new head tank at the location “Arkouda” TK Moulki, for the storage of water as well as the upgrading of the pumping complex of the borehole “Kato Kampos” TK Velina for the restoration of water extraction. More specifically, the project includes: The construction of a transport pipeline of 8 388.00 m in length, from 3 rd generation polyethylene pipelines, of different classes and of an external diameter of DN 355 mm. The construction of pie-breaking wells, evacuation wells and ventilation. The construction of a new charging head tank at the location “Arkouda” TK Moulio with a capacity of 800 m³. The replacement of the pumping complex of the borehole “Kato Kampos” in the Peloponnese of Peloponnese with a capacity of 80 m³/h. The project is fully compatible with the Approved River Basin Management Plan of the Northern Peloponnese Water System and is a key measure (M02Β0302), the implementation of which is the first priority for the implementation of Directive 2000/60/EC because it aims to increase demand for water needs.
