The proposed regeneration of Aigio road contributes to the functional integration of the old and the new city of Nafplion, in order to normalise the activities which are currently unbalanced. Taking place in an area of particular importance for the balanced development of the city of Nafplion, it seeks to help address the lack of a network of pavements, cycling routes and a network of low-level traffic routes for the whole city, in order to connect the residential areas of the new city with schools, public services, historical parts of the city and end up in the old city. The main objective of the project is to create a quiet and friendly route for the citizen of the city, whether cyclist or pedestrian, that will cause him to use it at all times of the day moving through the urban fabric to reach the city centre.
