The project concerns the supply, installation, configuration and commissioning of new VHF and UHF transponder systems to meet the needs of air-ground voice communications, the Mobile Aeronautical Service (Route) Service (AM(R)S), frequency range 118-137 MHz, airports and control centres of Athens and Macedonia, the Civil Aviation Authority. The project aims to improve the safety of air navigation and more efficient air traffic management due to saturation of the air navigation spectrum (118-137 MHz), in application of Implementing Regulation 1079/2012, as amended and in force.
