Preparation of NRPs, PD Plans and Management Plans for Natura 2000 sites, in the whole country with the exception of the Southern Aegean and Central Greece Regions

The aim of the project is to shield Natura 2000 sites through their institutionalisation as protected, with the adoption of Presidential Decrees (PDs). In accordance with national legislation, the establishment and management of a protected area first requires the drawing up of a Special Environmental Study (NEM), on the basis of which a PD will be drawn up, the conditions of which will then specify a Management Plan (SE).In the context of this project, the necessary NRPs, PDs and IAs of the country’s Natura sites (in the 11 Regions) will be carried out in order to implement the national legislation and effectively protect and manage them.
