DPB, Upgrading the maintenance base of Stage 2

The project contributes to solving the situation in urban mass transport in Bratislava by its nature and direct link to the projects of the renewal of the fleet of vehicles DPB. In the context of ensuring the operability of the renewed fleet of trolleybuses and trams, the main users of the project will be residents and visitors of Bratislava, who will use the modernised fleet, the maintenance of which will be provided by upgraded maintenance bases. Bratislava is an area with daily high labour migration of the population who do not have permanent residence in Bratislava. It is estimated that between 150 000 and 200 000 people reach the city per day, with around 650000 people on a normal working day and most of them benefiting from public transport services as well as interurban integrated transport. The project will thus contribute to the growth of their mobility and will have positive impacts in the socio-economic area of Bratislava and its surroundings. The implementation of the project contributes to ensuring quality, culture, reliability, safety and overall comfort of the services offered by DPB and will thus contribute to the re-growth of the demand for public transport and, indirectly, integrated transport within the whole Bratislava region.
