The project entitled “Ekodvor Gabčíkovo – separate waste collection” aims to intensify separate collection of municipal waste, which is not covered by extended producer responsibility under the Waste Act, and for which the city of Gabčíkovo is responsible for collection and management, through the construction of a collection court and the purchase of equipment, instruments, tools, tools and containers for sorting municipal waste.The main objective of the project is to create a collection yard for the residents of Gabčíkovo, which intensifies the separation of municipal waste in the city. The target group is the inhabitants of the city of Gabčíkovo (5 069 inhabitants). The place of implementation of the project is Gabčíkovo. The project will be implemented through two main activities “Dilluted collection of municipal waste” and “Information activities as part of an investment project” supporting activities of the project.The implementation of the project will create conditions for intensification of separate collection of municipal waste and at the same time increase the awareness of the city’s inhabitants in relation to waste separation. The capacity for sorting municipal waste will increase by 327 t/year as a result of the implementation of the project, and the amount of sorted municipal waste will also be increased by 327 t/year. The project will carry out 1 information activity and the total number of people involved in the information activities will be 2100 through distributed brochures.
