R2 Zvolen, East – Pstruša, Phase II

The main objective of the project is the construction of a 7.85 km long section of the R2 expressway between Zvolen and Pstruš with a four-lane transverse arrangement. The project is located in central Slovakia in the Banská Bystrica region; in the districts of Zvolen and Detva. The R2 expressway shall replace and complement the existing two-lane I/50 class road. Section of the expressway R2 Zvolen, East-Pstruša will be connected to the planned adjacent section R2 Zvolen West-Zvolen East in km 0,000. The project ends in km 7,850 before the planned intersection of Pstruša, which is part of the adjacent section R2 Pstruša – Kriváň. The route is guided by the Zvolen basin, along its southern hill slopes, at the end of the construction by the valley of the river Slatina with flat territory. At the beginning of the section, the expressway R2 will be connected to road I/50. The feeder connects to the I/50 road through a roundabout.
