Demand-oriented research for sustainable and innovative food, Drive4SIFood

The overall objective of this project within the food system is to increase knowledge and better understanding of the topics concerned in the development of high-quality, safe and innovative food and their subsequent environmental and energy processing through scientific research activities. These scientific research activities will have the potential to exploit such knowledge in terms of the sustainable health of 21st century consumers, taking into account the vulnerable population groups, with dissemination of results on a non-exclusive and non-discriminatory basis, as a priority through the teaching and publication of scientific articles. The core knowledge area is food technology. 3 cross-cutting objectives also contribute significantly to the overall objective:1.      orient the project, taking into account vulnerable population groups and their specific needs, in accordance with ethical principles.2.      orient the project towards scientific research activities aimed at the use of environmental aspects in the food industry3.      Strengthen the international position of scientific and research capacities in the ERA area (European Research Area Applicant Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra is dealing with the project together with partners:1.     McCarter a.s.,2.      National Agricultural and Food Centre3.      Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava4.      Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice5.      University of Veterinary Medicine and Pharmacy in Košice6.      Centre of Plant Biology and Biodiversity of the Slovak Academy of Sciences.7.      TEKMAR SLOVENSKO, s.r.o.
