The primary objective of the project “Transferable Housing in the Municipality of Jarovnice” is to ensure the growth of the number of Roma households with access to improved housing conditions through the construction of new apartment buildings. The main activity of the project is the Support of transferable housing programmes within the framework of social mobility and integration of residents of CLLD. The place of implementation of the project is Jarovnice, which is the largest Roma rural community in Central Europe. The output of the project will be four apartment buildings with a two-stage social housing system with transferable housing elements. One apartment building will contain 12 housing units, of which 8 flats will be lower standard to 50 m² and 4 flats higher standard up to 60 m². The construction of apartment buildings will provide improved housing conditions for 48 households from the Roma community (240 members of the CLLD). The operation of residential buildings will be supported by the activity of the Housing Assistant and the process of selecting tenants and the housing rules will be governed by the adopted document “Housing system with elements of transferable housing in the village of Jarovnice”. The present project is conceptually fully in line with the overall objective of the OP HR, Priority Axis 6 Technical equipment in municipalities with the presence of marginalised Roma communities, fulfils the objectives of investment priority 6.1 Providing support for physical, economic and social regeneration of deprived communities in urban and rural areas through specific objective 6.1.1 Growth in the number of Roma households with access to improved housing conditions. At the same time, the project is fully in line with the long-term plans of the municipality set out in the document ‘Programme for economic and social development of Jarovnice until 2022’.
