Pursuant to Section 4 of Act 249/2011 on road safety management and amending certain acts (hereinafter referred to as “the PK Safety Act”), the land manager is required to ensure the classification of critical accident sections and to ensure the evaluation of these sections by on-site inspection. The subject of the project is to ensure, in accordance with the legislation in force, a comprehensive activity related to the management and control of road safety in use, i.e. to analyse the traffic accident, to draw up a classification of critical accident sites, to propose measures and to evaluate these measures economically afterwards. These activities are related to the necessary transport engineering measurements and their evaluation. Economically efficient measures proposed by road safety auditors will be implemented in maintenance plans, investment plans and projects with the possibility of EU co-financing. Pursuant to Section 4(8) of the PK Safety Act, the conclusions of the project will be submitted to the Ministry of Transport for the purpose of fulfilling the obligations of the Land Communication Manager. The aim of the project is to increase road safety and reduce accidents on the road network in the management of NDS, a.s., i.e. to improve the safety and fluidity of traffic and contribute to the reduction of accidents. The project will be implemented in Slovakia on motorways, expressways and I. Class roads. A measurable indicator of the project is PO366 Number of completed documentation, analyses, studies and reports in connection with the preparation, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the project. The result of the project is achieved through the implementation of the main activity, i.e. the implementation of the project and the supporting activities.
