The proposed project is aimed at the procurement and installation of the ETCS (European Train Control System) application level Level 2 up to 25 units of electric units (EJ) of two types: 13 pieces of 3-part EJ and 12 4-part EJs in accordance with the standards and technical specifications of the TSI/EN/STN. The purchase of these two system EJs is the subject of the project Modernisation of the ŽKV fleet under OPII – Part 2. Their procurement for rail passenger transport (RAP) takes place for 47 months, i.e. from June 2018 until the end of April 2022. These EJs will run on lines, the majority of which is already equipped with ETCS track system in the current period within Žilina and Trenčiansky Region.ZSSK will be acquired assets – 25 pcs EJ with installed system ETCS Level 2 whose implementation is the subject of the submitted project, use only for the needs of operation of ŽOD on lines in the intensities of valid ZoDSVZ, i.e. on:· line KCP 120 Žilina – Púchov – Trenčín· line KCP 125 Púchov – Horní Lideč (CZ)· line KCP 127 Žilina – Čadca· line KCP 129 Čadca – Skalité – Zwardoň (PL)· line KCP 180 Žilina – Liptovský Mikuláš.Electrical units must be approved after installation of ETCS components for operation with active ETCS system on railway infrastructure of the Slovak Republic (hereinafter referred to as “ŽSR”) on lines with ETCS Level 1 and Level 2.The installation includes the connection of ETCS system to EJ control circuits, EJ electrical circuits, EJ braking circuits and communication connection with Mirel VZ1 train protection equipment. Part of the subject of the contract is the approval process of the ETCS system installed in the EJ from the Transport Office of the Slovak Republic, carrying out test runs, delivery of complete technical documentation, training, delivery of diagnostic systems, delivery of spare parts.
