D1 Budimir – Bidovce

The main objective of the project is the completion of the basic motorway corridor D1, thus improving conditions for international and national traffic and increasing fluidity, speed and road safety. The construction of the motorway section D1 Budimír – Bidovce category D 26,5/120 with a proposed length of 14.4 km will contribute to increasing the capacity of the road route in the direction of east-west, ensuring a higher transport function and creating a coherent network of motorways and expressways with a trans-regional transport function. The activities of the project are aimed at the construction of motorways and expressways, including feeders (TEN-T CORE) with the aim of removing key bottlenecks on the TEN-T road infrastructure through the construction of new sections of motorways and expressways. The place of implementation of the project is Košický kraj, okres Košice – surroundings. The D1 motorway is part of the TEN-T CORE network, performing a well-known national as well as international transport function. Measurable indicators of the project in question sú:Celková length of newly built roads on the TEN-T network (CORE) – 14.4 kmTotal length of newly built feeders to motorways and expressways on the TEN-T network – 0,9914 km (R2)Saving time in road transport on motorways and expressways – EUR 31 883 205 NO2 emissions saving (implication of motorway construction) – (-118.5) 5 tonnes)Emission saving PM10 (impact of motorway construction) – (-3.6 tonnes)
