The main objective of the national project “Labour Market Way 2” is to improve the position of jobseekers (UoZ) and disadvantaged jobseekers (hereinafter “Zuoz”) in the labour market, to increase employability and employment of UoZ and Zuoz by promoting job creation, to reduce unemployment, in particular long-term unemployment, and to promote the development of local and regional employment in the least developed districts with a high rate of unemployment. The measures implemented through this national project will be implemented on the basis of competences arising from specific provisions, such as Act No 453/2003 Coll. on State Administrations in the field of social affairs, family and employment services, and amending certain acts in the labour market. The competence to apply active labour market measures results directly from the Employment Services Act for the authorities (Section 13(1)(o).The national project addresses the high rate of registered unemployment in the districts of the destination territory. Within the meaning of Act No 336/2015 on support for the least developed districts and amending certain acts, as amended, these districts are among the least developed districts because of a long-term higher rate of registered unemployment than 1.5 times the average rate of registered unemployment in the Slovak Republic over the same period.
