D1 Lietavská Lúčka Vi ňové Dubná Skala, Phase II

1. The aim of the project is to complete the basic motorway D1, improve conditions for international and national traffic and increase fluidity, capacity, speed and road safety. After the completion of the construction of the section D1 in the length of 13.5 km, conditions will be created to significantly reduce traffic on road I/64 and road I/18 (deviation of transit of both freight and passenger transport from the city of Žilina).2. The activities of the project focus on the construction of motorways and expressways, including feeders (TEN-T CORE), with the aim of removing key bottlenecks on the TEN-T road infrastructure through the construction of new sections of motorways and expressways. 3. The place of implementation of the project is in Žilina region, in the district of Žilina. The D1 motorway is part of the TEN-T Core network, performing a well-known national and international transport function.4. Measurable indicators of the project in question sú:Celková length of newly built roads on the TEN-T network (CORE) – 13.5 km.Saving time in road transport on motorways and express roads – EUR 64450929.Saving of NO2 emissions (impact of construction of motorways) – 132 tonnes.Saving emissions of PM10 (impact of construction of motorways) – 8 tonnes
