Enhancing energy efficiency monitoring

The National Project Extension of Energy Efficiency Monitoring (hereinafter referred to as “NP RMEE”) is aimed at creating new e-collection functionalities (software), analysing and evaluating data on consumption and energy savings, while minimising administrative demands on the part of data providers as well as data processing. The new Energy Efficiency Monitoring System (MSEE) will allow the evaluation of energy savings and the resulting environmental benefits, as well as the processing of outputs for energy consumption analyses. Its operation will bring every year real knowledge of consumption and savings. After 2020, it will be necessary to monitor the long-term benefits of the measures stemming from the Energy Efficiency Directive[1] and to provide a framework for planning new measures towards sustainable development. The MSEE will allow the collection of data on investment intensity per unit of saved or produced energy per unit of greenhouse gas emission reduction, thus also contributing to investment decision-making in energy efficiency projects and the use of renewable energy sources. The new functionalities will enable the comparison of energy consumption or project results with similar groups of energy users.Functionalities will also aim to improve and automate the verification of the data entered by the operator, to create the possibility of mass import of data, etc. The aim of the project is mainly to increase the interoperability of state administration software systems, e.g. through the introduction of a unique address for buildings and the creation of import/export of data from/to other relevant systems, or by creating communication with such systems. [1] Directive 2012/27/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council on energy efficiency, amending Directives 2009/125/EC and 20110/30/EU and repealing Directives 2004/8/EC and 2006/32/EC.
