The implementation of the project “Modernisation of the General Hospital Rimavská Sobota to increase the productivity and efficiency of the provision of acute health care” will improve and increase the level of provision of acute health care. The subject of the project is the transformation of acute health care. The primary objective is to continuously improve the quality of healthcare provided. In order to achieve this, it is essential to improve patient management in line with the effectiveness of the hospital’s activities. The aim is to achieve this primarily through the innovation of medical equipment and technology, which seems to be a necessity to make the healthcare provided more efficient. The most important changes currently include a relatively wide range of medical techniques ensuring a higher level of diagnosis, minimising the use of external service providers and providing greater safety for patients in the provision of acute healthcare. Innovation also includes the acquisition of a linear accelerator, which is used in the treatment of cancers of cancer patients and marginally in the treatment of non-cancer diseases and radiation of blood derivatives. The subject of the project is an eligible activity, which belongs to a group of eligible activities under Specific Objective 2.1.3 and is therefore fully in line with the objective – (f) the supply of medical equipment, equipment and equipment.
