Live Energy

One of the applicant’s core tasks is to provide free expert energy advice and raise awareness on the sustainable use of renewable energy sources (RES) and reduction of final energy consumption. This task was mainly carried out in 2007-2015 in the framework of the national project ‘Supporting awareness and advice on energy efficiency and use of RES’, including raising awareness among the general public. However, priority was given to existing targets set at national and European level, without emphasising the significant impact on reducing CO2 emissions. The main objective of the national project Live Energy is the increased implementation of advisory and information activities aimed at the development of a low-carbon economy. It is therefore crucial to continue the above-mentioned advisory activities, and in particular to step up proven and effective information activities. The project will thus focus on active intervention in the form of advice and verified interactive information activities with intervention of segmented target groups. Objective groups sú:verejnosť;subjekty of central administration; entities of local government; private sector entities. The main activity of the project is advice on energy efficiency and RES, which will be supported by four podaktivitami:edičná activities, printing and online marketing;advice in external environments, communication and promotion;in-house consultancy;analysis, surveys and strategies. The basis for the provision of expert advice will be to strengthen, expand and improve the existing network of counselling centres of the applicant. New advisory centres will be created in communication or strategically important locations for the project and target groups. The existing free telephone helpline as well as the website www.zitenergiou.sk. will continue to be used and extended to ensure continuous advice.  By stepping up activities with children and young people, this specific target group will significantly increase awareness of the issue. These activities will contribute to meeting the priorities in the field of awareness raising and quality information on low-carbon measures and energy efficiency set out in Slovak Government Resolution No 548 on the Proposal for Energy Policy of the Slovak Republic of 5 November 2014, which states that one of the priorities for improving energy efficiency is also to ensure quality information and education on energy efficiency and other related concept documents. The principle of equality between men and women and non-discrimination shall be respected in the implementation of counselling and marketing activities aimed at raising awareness of the efficient use of energy for the public, so as not to discriminate against any group of persons.
