The project consists of carrying out systematic monitoring of the business environment in Slovakia and other EU countries (for comparative purposes) through surveys and analyses in the context of the Small Business Act for Europe (SBAfE). The aim is to provide comprehensive information about the business environment with an emphasis on SBAfE and the basis for the application of the “Think Small First” principle in Slovakia. On the basis of the data identified, regular and/or irregular reports on the SME environment (e.g. audit of the application of the SBA principles, evaluation of support programmes for SMEs, etc.) as well as specialised reports and studies and other material for the needs of the SME Envoy, the Working Group on the implementation of the principles of the SBA, the Ministry of Economic Affairs of the Slovak Republic, other ministries, as well as for the needs of academia and for informing the general public will be prepared. As part of the project, conferences, discussions and consultations will be organised to regularly gather the views of entrepreneurs. As part of the project will be vykonávané:kontinuálne monitoring of the business environment, processing of analyses and surveys, creation and maintenance of the data base of SME indicators, mapping of the facts and situation of SMEs from the point of view of the application of the principles of the SBA initiative, identification and analysis of barriers to the development of SME business, comparison of the situation in Slovakia with the conditions of entrepreneurship in other countries (with emphasis on neighbouring countries of the EU), identification of appropriate examples of measures for transfer to Slovakia’s conditions.
