The main objective of this project is the establishment of an institution providing comprehensive, systematic support and expert advice for small and medium-sized entrepreneurs, as well as for those interested in entrepreneurship (including disadvantaged social groups such as women, seniors/generation 50+, social and health handicaps, etc.), operating in the territory of the Bratislava Self-Governing Region. Its essence is the activity and development of the National Business Centre – one-stop-shop institution – situated in Bratislava, with territorial scope for the whole BSK. Its support, professionally guaranteed services are intended for those interested in entrepreneurship, enterprises in the early stages of development or already existing, established enterprises, meeting the criteria of SMEs. A wide range of services provided in NPC BA will consist of: group professional activities – seminars, webinars, lectures, discussion forums, workshops, conferences, etc., providing short-term and long-term individual advice, stays in a classic or virtual business incubator, participation in professional events and internships abroad, transfer of research and academic potential to the business environment, technological capacities within creative workshops of the project, information and popularisation activities for secondary and university schools and the general public aimed at increasing the motivation to do business, consulting in the preparation of applications for support from EU Community programmes, as well as comprehensive information on the possibilities of financing business activities or services of partner institutions.Complementary to the national project “Supporting the internationalisation of SMEs”, which is aimed at supporting small and medium-sized enterprises outside the BSK, the project will support the internationalisation of SMEs in order to increase their competitiveness in foreign markets. At the same time, the national project NPC II-BA Region will be implemented as a model project of the future network of National Business Centres, allocated in the regions of the Slovak Republic, built within the national project “NPC in Regions”.
