Innovative platform for TV audience measurement, automatic identification of viewers and correlation with analytical data from online social media platforms

The general objective of the project is to increase the competitiveness of the company cicada TECHNOLOGIES S.R.L. by developing its own product, “Innovative platform for measuring TV audiences, automatic identification of viewers and correlation with analytical data from online socialisation platforms”, with applicability in the field of marketing. The product consists of an innovative software platform for measuring TV audiences and automatically identifying viewers in front of televisions, information that is correlated with relevant data about the viewer audience, extracted from online social media platforms. The software platform thus helps to obtain accurate and detailed information on types of individual social profiles, on the impact that advertising has or may have within a certain time frame and at a particular TV station. The platform is to be fully developed within S.C Cicada Technologies S.R.L. This objective is in line with the general objective of Priority Axis 2 – Information and Communication Technology (ICT) for a competitive digital economy, which directly contributes to increasing the use, quality and access to information and communication technology. The specific objective of the axis is to increase the contribution of the ICT sector to economic competitiveness, by developing ranges of ICT products/services applicable to the rest of the Romanian economy for vertical integration of ICT solutions. The realisation of the project “Innovative platform for measuring TV audiences, automatic identification of viewers and correlation with analytical data from online social media platforms”, with applicability in the field of marketing, will contribute directly to O.S. 2.2 of Axis 2, respectively Increasing the contribution of the ICT sector for economic competitiveness. The innovative TV audience measurement platform proposed is relevant to the field of marketing-advertising and television in particular and to investors in advertising in any other economic field. The added value generated by the platform for the marketing-advertising sector is focused on TV advertising.Because the audience basically sets the market share and advertising prices, a more accurate measurement of the audiences in the TV advertising market will contribute to the growth of competition and competitiveness in this market. The product proposed to be produced will provide a more accurate identification of viewers and will follow to profile them according to the following information channels. The platform will come with an innovative audience monitoring service for each advertising spot.
