Strengthening the capacity of the medical center within the Protection and Guard Service for the management of the COVID-19 health crisis

The general objective of the project aims to strengthen the capacity of the medical center of the Protection and Guard Service, to manage the emergency situation caused by the COVID-19 health crisis by ensuring a timely and effective response. The purpose is to provide protective equipment and medical equipment, which will be used directly to prevent the infection of personnel and to identify COVID-19 infection, in order to ensure timely and appropriate treatment. The intervention capacity is currently very low due to the lack of specific medical equipment, although at the level of the organisation there are human resources with a high level of specific competence. At the same time, there is a lack of specialised mobile transport equipment, decontamination and triage support, necessary for permanent and temporary activities in Bucharest and in the national territory. The aim of the project is to improve the existing situation, by equipping the medical center with protective equipment and medical equipment, to ensure the strengthening of the capacity of this structure and, implicitly, of the organisation as a whole, to manage the COVID-19 health crisis. Indicator: Before the LIOP intervention: No Subsequently to LIOP intervention: YES
