Increasing the capacity to manage the COVID-19 health crisis by the hospitals subordinated to Dolj County Council

The general objective of the project is to ensure an adequate capacity to care and treat cases of infection and management of the COVID-19 health crisis by the public institutions in Dolj county that provide medical services, by ensuring a timely and effective response to the health crisis. The project aims to equip the City Hospital “Brancovenesti settlements” Dabuleni and the Leamna Pneumophysiology Hospital, institutions subordinated to Dolj County Council, with: protective equipment: surgical protective masks, with elastic, masks with FFP2 filter, disposable medical gloves, visors, goggles, suits, surgical gowns, botosi, caps, biocides, solutions needed to ensure hygiene and disinfection; specific medical equipment: infrared thermometers, pulse oximeters, monitors vital functions with winch, injectomas, EKGs, defibrillators, portable fans, laryngoscopes, video-lingoscopes, ATI beds, autoclaves. Thus, they contribute to the proper endowment of these hospitals, for preventive purposes, with protective materials as well as medical equipment, in order to ensure an adequate capacity to manage the health crisis. As such, the ability to manage the health crisis by the two medical units is very low from the perspective of prevention and protection. Also, the level of medical equipment is insufficient to ensure a reduced reaction time of the 2 units to the Covid 19 crisis. Given the extremely high infectivity of the virus, which cannot be kept under control without specialised protective equipment for the medical staff in the two hospitals, it is necessary to take measures to prepare these health units for the management of infections with the new virus, including active surveillance, early detection and isolation of cases, in order to prevent the continuous spread of infection in Dolj county. Also, the hospitals in the List of hospitals providing healthcare to patients tested positive with SARS-CoV-2 virus in phase II of Annex II of Order No 555 of the Minister of Health of 3 April 2020, including the City Hospital “Brancovenesti Assemblies” Dabuleni, must be prepared for the management of every suspected or confirmed case of infection with the new coronavirus, so it is necessary to use specialised protective equipment for staff, until the affected persons in a mo
