GENERAL OBJECTIVE: Increase the number of pupils and teachers using digital services and applications for online courses. DESCRIPTION OF THE GENERAL SUBJECT MATTER: Ensuring students’ access to the online learning process results in the acquisition of all the necessary equipment for the proper conduct of educational activities in an educational institution. Access to education is essential, but the current statistical data emphasise that maintaining educational activity in the classical system remains only a desire, reality is oriented towards online education, capable of enhanced protection of the safety of pupils and teachers. The role of education is to form the social being, to socialise the child. In reality, education has a multidimensional character and an appropriate definition must also take into account both dimensions so that it can guide educational action to meet the needs of both the individual and the society for which we form it. So, in order to form complete individuals able to act easily in society, physical presence in school is required, but if, however, this would jeopardise the safety of pupils and teachers, the only way to maintain an active educational act is to transfer it to the online environment. Obviously, in order to ease both pupils and teachers the transition to such a system, it is imperative that schools, together with their parents, provide all the technical, logistical support that such a transformation needs. Online education has multiple advantages from the point of view of the educational act in stricto sensu but significantly restricts social interaction, but if this context does not allow safe interaction of individuals, then we will have to choose the smallest evil and to have a quality educational act even if it is devoid of this social component. This intervention, and these measures, are implemented not on the basis of the sudden revolution of the entire education system, but as a reaction to an unprecedented situation in the modern world, which can no longer be neglected. The specific experiences of organising online courses support the fact that, however, young people have an extraordinary adaptive capacity and continue to socialise at any time in their online communication. In the context of the current COVID-19 pandemic, which has also affected Romania, the population faces a number of economic and social problems caused by the reduction of the activity of economic operators and public institutions, the reorganisation of the activity of health, social and education services. Under these circumstances, vulnerabilities of children, families and communities can exacerbate pre-existing risks: limited access to social services, health services, inequalities in access to education, poverty.
